NordicTrack X11i Incline Trainer Review
With using the machine you’re currently using in your workout schedule (assuming you already have a workout schedule that you’re following), how many calories can you quickly burn? There are many different pieces of exercise equipment currently on the market, but many people are starting to turn to incline trainers, because of what they have to offer. While there’s the Weslo cadence r 5.2 treadmill and the Proform treadmill, the Nordictrack treadmill, in our opinion, seems to be the best treadmill. Today, we are going to take a close look at the NordicTrack x11i in order to determine if it’s suitable for you.
A Quick Summary of the NordicTrack x11i
With the NordicTrack x11i, you will be able to take your fitness goals to incredible new heights, without straining your needs or having to run fast. The generous range of incline options on the Incline Trainer will give you the opportunity to burn calories quicker than ever before. If you’re looking for a machine that offers muscle definition and cardio training, then this is the one you need.
Incline Training is the Way to Go
If you’re looking to burn calories five times faster than the traditional treadmill, then the NordicTrack x11i is a great machine for you. Have you ever watched the show called “The Biggest Loser?” If you’re familiar with this show, you probably already know that incline training was promoted as being the fastest way to lose weight. All you have to do is simply walk, jog or run on a slope. During the show, we learned that the steeper the slope is, the faster we are able to burn calories. For example, in merely 20 minutes, with a steep incline trainer, you should be able to burn around 400 calories and that is with moving as slow as 2 mph.
With the new x11i Incline Trainer that was released in 2017, your potential is incredible. This machine allows a speed of up to 12 mph. Could you imagine how many calories you could burn if you were able to run 12 mph in a little amount of time?
There’s a reason we have labeled the X11i one of the best treadmills of 2017 –it has some pretty good features/specs that are capable of keeping the user engaged.
The highlight of the machine, in our opinion, would be the beautiful 10 inch touchscreen that will let you browse the World Wide Web while you exercise.
The maximum incline on this treadmill is 40%. When you are using this extreme setting, you will be able to burn calories at a much faster rate than you would if you were training at a 0% grade – five times faster, to be exact. Don’t worry, because at lower settings, the benefits are still good.
In addition to all of this, the X11i has a nice power decline setting. While walking or running downhill, you will be able to use your muscles in ways that would only be possible if you were running outside.
This machine is anything but standard and that is a good thing. It features a high definition 10-inch touchscreen with a total of 44 workout apps, a web browser and we cannot forget about iFit Coach Integration. If you choose to use iFit Coach with this machine, a subscription will be required, but it is well worth it.
What We Like about the NordicTrack x11i
When it comes to the NordicTrack x11i, there are many aspects that we like about it, which is why we have labeled it one of the best incline trainers of 2017. In this section of the review, we are going to tell you exactly what we like about this machine.
iFit Coach – We really like how this machine can work with iFit Coach. Yes, a subscription to iFit Coach is required, but like we previously said, it is well worth it. A paid subscription can support multiple users, which is a major benefit if you would like to share it with a family member. As an iFit member, you will be able to download customized workouts every day. You will even have access to video workouts that are led by personal trainers. Users may also log workout stats automatically and use many of the other features that will help them. What’s really cool is that iFit Coach is capable of helping users train for specific race routes or turn them into a global tourist. All you have to do is draw a map using Google Maps and the incline trainer will virtually transport you to that chosen destination. It will adjust it’s incline/decline in order to copy the topography and even show you an interactive Google Street View through its 10 inch screen.
The incline/decline has a range of -6% to +40%, which is incredible. With a slope choice like this, you will be able to work those muscles in a variety of different ways and burn calories at a rapid rate. If you like, you can train at low speeds, and still receive the fast results that you would normally get if you were to run. When it comes to your joints, tendons and ligaments, there will be less impact, which means exercising will be more comfortable for you. This technique will also help to enhance your endurance.
This incline trainer has a bigger track that the traditional treadmills. The bigger track makes for extra workout space, which is a good thing. To be exact, the track measures 60 inches in length and is 22 inches wide. To give you an idea, the typical treadmill you would find in the gym is 60 inches long and 20 inches wide.
Even if you do not have the iFit Coach membership that we told you about, there are a variety of workout programs that you can choose from. There are numerous iFit demo programs you can try out, but on the same note, this treadmill comes preloaded with a total of 44 workout apps. When you look at the training menu, you’ll find that it has been divided into four categories – Incline, Calorie, Intensity and Speed.
During your workouts, by attaching a tablet to the Incline Trainer console, you will be able to access your own apps. There’s an adjustable bracket that is capable of securely holding your tablet at eye level.
Touchscreen with Internet Capabilities
The NordicTrack has a 10 inch HD touchscreen display that you can use as you’re working out. You can use the integrated Android browser in order to check the Internet as you train. Google Street View is another interesting feature that is supported here. On the machine, you will be able to watch images of the path slide by you as you walk – the route can be charted through iFit Coach.
Heart Rate Monitoring
When people exercise, many of them choose to monitor their heart rate. By monitoring your heart rate, you will be able to train wisely. The unit will give you two options for pule readings – you can do it through a wireless chest strap, which is included or through the sensors that are on the handlebars.
By adding your favorite tunes or podcasts to exercise, you will be able to keep that motivation going. This unit has speakers from Intermix Acoustics built-in, so you don’t have to wear headphones, if you don’t want to.
Easy to Assemble
This is something that was shocking to us, because when it comes to assembling exercise machines like treadmills, it’s never easy. While setting up something like the Proform 505 cst treadmill may take some people a couple of hours, this one right here should only take 30 minutes to set up. That’s right, it really is that easy.
What’s really good about this machine is the user weight limit – it allows up to a total of 350 pounds, which is a higher capacity for a home fitness machine that most.
A Nice Warranty
The warranty package, in our opinion, is a deal breaker. NordicTrack offers a generous warranty. On the motor, frame and deck, factory-direct shoppers will receive lifetime coverage. For parts and electronics protection, there’s a six year warranty and for labor, there’s a three year warranty.
What We Don’t Like About the NordicTrack x11i
When it comes to the x11i, it’s hard to complain about it, because even though we analyzed this machine like crazy, it was hard to find something we did not like. The only drawback (and this drawback is expected for a machine this good), would be the price. However, depending on where you buy this machine at, you may be able to find some pretty good discounts that will lower the price.
For runners and walkers, the 11i Incline Trainer is a favorite cardio trainer. It is built to give fast results and keep people interested in their workout. At 12mph, it offers benefits of incline training and is a great treadmill for runners due to the high-en components. Top it all off with a HD 10” touchscreen with web browser and built-in speakers along with a tablet holder and you really cannot go wrong.
