Bowflex Max Trainer M7 Cardio Machine Review

While there are many different pieces of exercise equipment currently on the market, like the Nordictrack treadmill, Weslo treadmill, Bowflex PR3000 and the Bowflex xtk, there are others that really stand out from the crowd – ones that we believe deserve to be reviewed. One of the newer pieces of equipment we have to review is the Bowflex M7 – if you’re looking for something that will give you that nice, peaceful workout, then this one right here might just be a viable option.

The Box

The Bowflex M7 comes in a large box and you may need help getting it in your home and unboxing it. However, with a product like this, that is expected.

An Overview of the Bowflex M7

Speedy calorie burn, gentle motion and an all-around amazing workout selection sum up what this Bowflex Max trainer M7 is all about. Due to the moving arm bars, your upper body is going to benefit from this piece of equipment. In fact, an upper body workout on the M7 will be twice as effective as if you were using an elliptical trainer.  Your lower body isn’t going to suffer during the workout – it will be in constant contact with the pedals, so your body isn’t going to feel that harmful jarring impact that you would feel if you were using a treadmill.

With the M7, keeping fit in a timely manner is what it’s all about. If you’re looking for a nice pain-free calorie burn, then you have found it.

For efficient workouts that are gentle on the joins, this total body trainer is a top choice for many shoppers. In fact, many are choosing Max Trainers over treadmills and ellipticals.  The M7 leads the three-model series – you have the M7, M5 and the M3. It makes the most in terms of zero impact motion. As you exercise your arms and legs, without any jarring impact, you’ll be able to get results quickly.

How Effective is the M7?

The Max Trainer M7, is very effective. It can easily outperform treadmills, stair steppers and ellipticals in terms of calorie burn. Simply getting gon this machine for a nice seven minute workout can really pay off.

“The Ultimate 14 minute workout” is more popular with this trainer. This workout can be found amongst level additional built-in workouts. Looking through other reviewers to see what they have to say about the M7, many people have a lot of good thing to say about it. While all of the Max Trainers have earned positive reviews throughout the Internet, the M7 seems to really be standing out from the crowd due to all of the upgrades.

A Closer Look at the Upgrades

One of the upgrades that we noticed on the Bowflex M7 involves the wireless heart monitoring – it includes a chest strap.

Another upgrade would be the wide array of training programs that the user can choose from and it can store two separate user profiles.

As for the other upgrades, those range from premium club-quality grips on the arm bars to stainless steel sport performance pedals.

As you see, the Bowflex M7 has quite a few upgrades and that is why it’s standing out from the crowd.

In this section of the review, we’re going to take a look at the pros.

With any product, regardless of how many pros there are, if you dig deep enough, you’ll be able to find some flaws. With the Bowflex M7, we were able to discover a couple of flaws.

  • Price
  • Assembly time

Those are the only two flaws we could find at the time of writing this review.

Max Trainer M7 Features

You’re going to be pretty impressed as you venture your way through 20 computer-controlled resistance levels. Out of all the other Max Trainers of 2016 currently on the market, the Bowflex M7 just so happens to be the one that has the most resistance levels. When you’re ready to kick it up a notch, that is fine, because the controls for the resistance levels are conveniently built into the handlebars as well as on the console.

If you would like to receive your workout data so you can keep up with it all, that’s not going to be a problem. This machine can send your workout data to the Max Trainer App for Android or Apple. For this feature, you will need a device that has at least iOs version 8.0 or Android version 4.3.

We cannot forget about the chest strap for wireless heart rate monitoring – this helps you exercise efficiently. In addition to this, you also have pulse readers built into the handlebars.

Looking at all of the other reviews online, we have discovered that this machine right here has the most advanced pedals out of all the other Max Trainers. It consists of stainless steel sport performance pedals that will be sure to satisfy everyone from novices to advanced users.

Comfort is another feature that you may be interested in knowing about. This machine has ergonomic grips. These grips are upgrades to the cheaper Max Trainers.

Other special features include a media shelf and a water bottle holder – both come in handy.

A Look at the Workout Programs

The M7 has a nice variety of programs that are built-in. Plus, users are able to gain access to lessons via a popular mobile app. Up to a total of four users can save their profiles on this machine. Bowflex has also partners up with the Daily Burn app, which is well known – when you get this machine, you will receive an offer for an 8 week free subscription where you will have access to over 600 different workouts.

The built-in programs have been divided into two sections  - Target Mode and Performance Mode.

Performance Mode Programs include: Calorie burn, fat burn, manual, stairs and fitness test.  Through performance mode workouts, the M7 will automatically adapt to your personal training level.

Target Mode Programs are called Max 14 Minute Interval, Max 7 Minute Interval, Power Interval, Max 21 Minute Interval, Steady Pace and Calorie Goal.

When you use a Max Trainer like the Bowflex M7, you’re going to feel better than you did if you were to use a recumbent exercise bike, or even the best treadmill. You may want to extend that workout, and the “add time” feature makes it all possible.

How About the Warranty and Guarantee?

When you spend this much money on a piece of equipment, the warranty and guarantee should be a big issue. With this product, you will receive a three-year whole-machine warranty. Bowflex offers a six-week money back guarantee, with no questions asked.

Would we recommend the Bowflex M7 to our friends and family? If they were looking to get fit, of course we would!  In half your usual workout time, with the M7, you can achieve so much more than you normally would on a treadmill. Yes, home ellipticals and treadmills are great, but this machine right here is twice as effective and is less likely to cause injuries. Plus, the fact that it is backed by a three-year standard warranty that covers the entire machine really makes it all worth it. If the Bowflex M7 fits your budgets, then it would be a wise buy.
